Nota let's you grab it, mix it, and share it

The basic premise behind Nota is that you (or up to 50 people) start with a blank canvas and then add whatever photos, videos, maps (google), text and speech bubbles you want onto it. If you like your creations, you can then embed your them in your blog, facebook, or myspace page.
With Nota though you can get these photos and videos from other peoples Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, Facebook, your PC, even direct from webcams. You can easily create and collaborate with friends simultaneously on your creations.
The interface is simple yet still requires a little practise when playing about with effects and stuff. You don't even have to register an account to try it out, and if you don't feel like embedding your creations, you can just print them off, unfortunately the videos don't retain their streaming abilities on paper ;-)

Cool blog - where do you get all this stuff from? Anyway, reading maybe a dozen of your posts has given me some pretty cool ideas.

I'm looking for some sort of chat or tagboard widget to embed on my blog. I'm talking about something like this: http://www.tag-board.com/ I haven't managed to find a decent one yet, so I was thinking maybe you can recommend or write a post about a nicer one.

Hi Andrei,
thanks for the compliment :-)
Mostly I just try to check out every single web app (not business oriented) that gets launched, in the end though only about 3% of them turn out to be 'cool', 'easy to use' and most importantly of all free :-)
There's quite a few widgets available which can do what you're looking for but I'm half asleep at the moment (up late testing web designs) and can't think of the names but I'll look into it tomorrow after work and email you.

Kind regards,

Paul

Hey Paul,

Thanks for the reply. It's not that urgent. I just saw you have a talent for these reviews and I though you're the right person to ask.

I'll probably be visiting your blog regularly from now on to look for more cool stuff.

Cheers,

Ok the best ones I've come across would have to be the following :-

Meebome - www.meebome.com
Plugoo - www.plugoo.com
Pladeo - www.pladeo.com
Mabber - www.mabber.com

Meebome is the clear leader of the pack though (it's from Meebo).
Best try them out to see which fits your needs best though ;-)
